  • Started Judo lessons in 1952 at Travis Air Force Base Instructor Walter Todd.
  • Promoted Brown Belt, l953-Northern California Black Belt Judo Association.
  • Transferred to Korea and then to Japan 1954.
  • Promoted Shodan 1954.
  • Continued Judo lessons at Kaia-Kan Nagoya Japan.
  • 1954 Founded Nagoya Air Force Base Judo Club which included both G.I. and Dependents.
  • 1955 Promoted Nidan. Discharged from Air Force.
  • Started competing in Chicago because there were no Judo clubs in Wisconsin.
  • 1956 Founded Milwaukee YMCA Judo Club.
  • 1959 Promoted Sandan. Founded North Central Judo Black Belt Association.
  • 1965 Promoted Yodan.
  • 1971 Founded Menomonee Falls Judo Club.
  • 1972 Nat’l Referee-Pan American Judo Union. Class – A Teacher, United States Judo 
  • Federation.
  • 1975 Promoted Godan.
  • Promoted Rokudan.
  • Life member United States Judo Association L- 1197.
